What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy focused on brand growth, qualified lead generation, new client growth, reputation management, and community engagement
  
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small marketing team, ensuring clear goals, accountability, and high-quality output
  
• Oversee digital marketing, content creation, social media, SEO/SEM, community outreach, and campaign execution
• Ensure all marketing aligns with legal industry standards and professional compliance requirement
• Track performance data and make informed, metric-driven decisions to improve effectiveness
• Support Spanish-language campaigns and multicultural marketing efforts
• Represent the marketing function in leadership discussions and company initiatives

Associates will work closely with managing partners and senior attorneys and have the opportunity to play an active role in case strategy, client advocacy, and litigation preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury caseload starting with pre-litigation and growing toward litigation
• Represent clients in negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable outcomes
• Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and other litigation proceedings as needed
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and courts
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other legal correspondence
• Assist in preparing cases for trial, hearings, mediations, and depositions
• Conduct legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis to support case strategy and development
• Engage in client consultations to gather case information and provide legal guidance
• Collaborate with managing partners, senior attorneys, and paralegal support staff to streamline case management
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active Virginia State Bar license in good standing
• 2–4 years of legal experience (personal injury or civil litigation preferred)
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Familiarity with legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw) and case management systems (Neos, Needles, Clio, or similar) preferred
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

What You’ll Do

• Support attorneys with day-to-day case work from intake through resolution
• Draft and file legal documents, correspondence, discovery, and settlement materials under attorney guidance
• Manage case files, deadlines, and calendars to make sure nothing falls through the cracks
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance companies
• Prepare demand packages, discovery responses, and case summaries as needed
• Help coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and other case-related events
• Keep case information accurate and organized using our case management system (Neos)
• Work closely with attorneys and staff to prioritize tasks and keep cases moving efficiently
• Pitch in with general administrative support when needed — we’re a small team and work together

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting (personal injury experience is a plus)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and legal case management software (Neos, Filevine, Clio, etc.)
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
• A client-focused mindset and calm, professional demeanor
